Renewing what it means to live in a Singaporean Neighborhood for the year 2030, the design is inspired by the modular communal system that can engage not only its residence but the entire nation through high-technology agriculture, living and working lifestyle.
Foreword
I hoped to redefine the contents and regulations of the ordinary Singaporean neighbourhood.
I wished to inspire this idea that when I dreamt about with people, they would be like: "Oh wow, that makes so much sense, why doesn't my community have it? "
This new style for a community would have to have aspects that spark conversations but easy to understand and mould.
It would be a concept that can bud new developments or bring new life to old neighbourhoods.
Like playing with Lego, imagination is all one needs. Blocks of a similar origin, no matter their shape, size, or colour, still ultimately joining perfectly to form a very vibrant and diverse masterpiece.
Something very much like the Singaporean kampong spirit; beautifully different from every angle, exciting and new every time another piece got laid.
At its core, this design aims to complement the meaning of a living community. A peaceful place where plants are grown to be cherished. An ideal space to raise children and grow old. A place to call home.
